A Great Night Of Celebration For Missions

Tonight, our church was blessed to host the NC Baptist Men's Rally.  I was so proud of our team who graciously gave of their time and effort to prepare a delicious meal for NC Baptists.  I am also grateful for our praise team who led in worship tonight.  I felt the power of the Holy Spirit in our fellowship hall as we worshiped our Lord Jesus.

As the program began, I was moved to tears as a CPA from Burlington shared about his ten day trip to Haiti last month.  He said that in his line of work, you can not take off during this season of year.  However, he was approached to be one of five individuals from North Carolina to go so he followed the call.  As he shared, he said that God restored the joy of His salvation. WOW.

We also found out tonight that NC Baptist collected over 12,000 Bucket's of Hope for Haiti.  That is 2000 more than our goal.  This shows how God can take such a simple concept and use it as an instrument to bring people to Jesus.  Let's pray that God will use each bucket to bring physical food that will lead to an opportunity for spiritual food to come to the souls of the Haitian people.

Finally, I was blessed by the introduction of our new partnership with New York City.  I am looking forward to God's way of working as we watch Him do amazing things with this new partnership.

Thank you NC Baptist Men for your wonderful work.  We are blesssed to be a small part of such a mighty work.
