Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host several of our friends and the youth from my home church where my family still attends today. They were coming to Greensboro to the coliseum for a conference and asked a few weeks ago if we could host them. As they arrived, one of the youth shaperones was a person that I have not seen in ten years.
As we prepared food for them last night after their conference, I really enjoyed the opportunity to fellowship and catch up with people from my childhood. Actually we all stayed up until 2 am simply talking, laughing, crying, and rejoicing over all that God has done in our lives.
I am encouraged and amazed that how God has worked in the lives of folks that have always been so near to my heart. Today, I have recaptured the conversations of last night in my memory. I am so excited about what God is doing in their lives.
Thank you Jesus for this opportunity.
