GRACE

Grace is a word with such rich and detailed meaning.  It portrays the gift and blessing of God as He gave His son to pour grace over our lives.  As I think about God's grace in my life, I am in awe and amazement that God has chosen to love me so much to give me the gift of His amazing grace.  As we live in this day that God has given us, lets join our hearts in worship toward God tonight with a thought about the gift of grace He has given to each of us.  It is ALL about His GRACE!

A Great Lord's Day

Sunday is always my favorite day of the week because it is the Lord's day.  It is such a pleasure for God's people to be able to gather together to worship and learn from God's word on his designed day for worship.  As I reflect upon yesterday at Southside, I am still in awe of the how our great and mighty God blessed us.  We had a wonderful and spirit filled worship service.  The choir and soloist were used by God to touch our hearts.  We were blessed to have some of our Southern Baptist missionaries come to worship with us.

Last night we celebrated our Lord by giving a memorial from our hearts to Him by participating in Holy Communion.  We collected a wonderful offering for hurricane disaster relief.  We heard a testimony from Matthew Bowden about God's call upon his life.

Last night and this morning, my heart has been so full.  We are all blessed to be a part of such a vibrant and spirit filled church.  Thanks to everyone for doing your part to make Southside the most loving church in Greensboro.

I love you.

Hurricane Irene

Well, today was a very odd Saturday for alot of residents on the east coast.  We have all been anticipating Irene's arrival and she made her appearance earlier today.  Here is Greensboro, we only had some heavy wind.  However, as I looked on facebook tonight, I noticed that several of our friends that live down east posted pictures of terrible amounts of damage.

Tomorrow, we will be taking a special offering for NC Baptist Disaster Relief efforts.  Please pray about giving generously so that our disaster relief teams can do what they need to do to help our fellow citizens.  We will collect this offering at the end of our service as everyone departs from the worship center.

If you would like to go down east one day next week on a one day mission trip to help, let me know and we will work that out for you.

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, this morning was a milestone for us as Sarah Belle started Kindergarten.  Laura and I woke up at 5:00 am, and woke the kids up at 6:00 am. They all woke up happy and very excited.  They could not wait to get to school to see their friends.  Sarah Belle could not wait to meet new friends.

Everything was good until I was driving to the office.  As I was driving, my mind wondered back to when Sarah Belle was born and it contiued to roll to all the events of her life.  Finally, I walked in my office, sat down to begin my work and just laid my head on the desk and sobbed.  I thought to myself, "why are you doing this?"  Finally, God revealed to me that my tears were tears of joy for her as she begins this new chapter of life.  So, I began to pray "Lord, let our Sarah Belle be your instrument in her class to share God's love with the other children."

Tonight, after a long day for all of us, I knelt by her bed to say good night prayers and she began to share with me all about her day.  I quickly realized that God had answered my prayer as she told me how she helped the sad kids enjoy their day.

Thank you  JESUS.

The Little Fuller's at open house with their new teachers.

Sarah Belle with her new Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Henry.  Sarah Belle is so excited to have Mrs. Henry since she was also Luke and Anna Brooke's Kindergarten teacher.

Anna Brooke with her 1st grade teacher, Mrs Whittner.  Anna Brooke is so excited about the challenge of this coming year.

Luke is pictured here with his 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Teseiro.  He is so excited because his best friend is in his class.  He was also glad that he would have Mrs. Teseiro.  She was his 2nd grade teacher last year and moved to 3rd grade this year. She requested to have Luke again along with his group of friends.

Well, open house was great and afterwards we went to purchase everything on the school lists.  As you can see our Sarah Belle was worn out after this.  Here she is in my arms. This picture makes me tear up as I think about our baby girl going to school tomorrow.

The Fullertown 4th of July Celebration

We love celebrating our nation's independence on July 4th.  This year, we had a blast at a July 4th parade.  Here are the little Fuller's and mommy as they wait for the parade to start.

The little Fuller's are waiting for the fireworks.

I had a blast with the little Fuller's.

They found some really cool rocks. It was so neat to see what they brought out of the water.

Sarah Belle's 5th Birthday

Sarah Belle decided that she wanted her birthday party at our neighborhood pool.  Since she is a little fish in the water, we were excited that she chose this option for her party with all of her friends.

Here is our birthday girl with mommy as they prepare for all the guests to arrive.

Here she is with a few of her friends.  All the others are still swimming, but Sarah Belle is ready for her cupcake.

Some of Sarah Belle's best friends.  She is so blessed.

Laura and I are so blessed by Sarah Belle.  She lights our hearts each day as she displays her personality with such joy.  She is wild, loud and happy almost all of the time.

What a great 5th birthday she had.

Wow, its been a WILD summer!

I am so sorry that I have not posted anything in a while, but this has been an incredibly WILD summer.  We have seen God's grace pour over us as we have been extra busy this season of year. I will try to catch up over the next few days with a summary of our summer.
