McDaniel Benefit Raises over $10,000.00 for Hunter tonight - GO GOD!

Tonight was a beautiful portrait of what a church family is all about.  I am so proud of our amazing church family who rallied together to show our love and support for Hunter McDaniel.  Tonight, God answered our prayers and heard our cry toward Heaven on behalf of this family who is so precious to all of us.  After all was said and done tonight, our tellers tallied the count at over @10,000.00.  WOW.  We fully expect to receive more in the morning, so it will be amazing to see how God blesses this benefit for His glory.

It is amazing at what God can do when His people come together and are obedient to His call.  Thank you JESUS that we can serve you by serving others.  What a blessing.

Hunter McDaniel - Our Cancer Fighter

We were so blessed tonight to have Hunter with us at his benefit.  He came home from the hospital on Tuesday night from 6 days of intense chemo and will go back next Friday.  Please pray for him as he undergoes 8 months of chemo hoping by that point to be able to have surgery.  Hunter is seen here with 3 of our teenagers who are rooting him on in his fight.  I am so grateful for the time I had with Hunter on our mission trip last summer to Costa Rica.  He really blessed my heart during that time as we roomed together on that trip.  Hunter, we love you and are praying diligently for a miracle to come your way.

Preparing for the McDaniel Benefit

This afternoon, these 5 special ladies gave with such sacrifice to prepare for the benefit for the McDaniel family.  Kim, Jean, Kourtney, Becky and Carolyn are all very special ladies in our church who always serve with such grace and humility.  They challenge me in my own walk with God as I watch them serve and serve.  Here is a picture of them wrapping plastic for the benefit. Thank you Lord for using such awesome women to serve your kingdom and bless your church.  We are so blessed.

4 Amazing Ladies

Here is a picture of 4 of our amazing ladies at Southside Baptist Church who have worked diligently today to prepare for the benefit dinner for one of our church members, Hunter McDaniel.  I am blessed to serve the Lord with these 4 amazing women of God who give with such sacrifice on a regular basis to serve our Lord.  Laura and I are blessed by them as well as our entire church family.  Thank you JESUS for raising up spiritual giants in our lives.  We are so blessed.

Belle Belle is sliding onto the slip in slide

Look at our wild girl as she slides onto the slip in slide.  She always finds a way to have a blast.

Paul has learned to have "NO FEAR OF WATER"

Here is a picture of Paul as he is about to jump in our neighborhood pool.  He loves jumping in now that he has no fear.  It is so much fun watching Paul in the water.

Summer Fuller Family Fun

Tonight, when I arrived home, I opened the front door and found the house very quiet.  As I walked to the back of the house, I began to hear alot of laughter out back.  I opened the back door and found the little Fuller's on a hand made slip in slide from some black plastic I had on a shlef in the garage.  They had baby oil, dish detergent and the hose on it.  Here is a picture of 3 of the little Fuller's having fun on the slip in slide.  In the backgroud, Luke's friend who spent the night last night is close behind .  As I think about our family, I am so glad that we have so much fun at Fullertown.

My 3 GIRLS, God's missionaries

Here is a picture that was taken today of my girls and our mommy as they prepare for VBS to start in Canada.  I am so proud of Anna Brooke as she is on her second mission trip at age 5 and Sarah Belle, who is on here first mission trip at age 4.  Their dresses were made by their granny who lives in Florida.  She made them for our VBS here at Southside and they fit right in with the theme, Sattle Ridge Ranch.

Gospel Light Baptist Church - Nova Scotia

Here is a picture of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Harrietsfield Nova Scotia.  This building houses an amazing congregation of believers here in a coastal community along the Atlantic ocean. Our church at Southside is so blessed to have a partnership with them.  This week, please pray for our team as they lead VBS and do other mission projects here in Canada.  Pray that the glory of God will fall upon this building this week.  I can't wait to hear what takes place this week.

An Amazing Night Of Visitation

On Monday nights at Southside, we go out on outreach visitation.  Tonight was no exception.  Two of our precious deacons and I had the opportunity to go and visit a family that has recently been visiting our church.  After a few minutes of dialogue and looking at their beautiful home that was recently remodeled, we settled in to an amazing conversation about JESUS.  After a few minutes, one of the family members decided they wanted a relationship with JESUS.  So, we knelt on their living room floor and he prayed the most powerful and sincere prayer to receive Christ.  Afterwards, another family member prayed a prayer of committment and dedication.  Then, they decided they wanted to dedicate their home to the service of the Lord.  We prayed to do that and then a whale of tears began to flow from one that surrendered their life.  It lasted for several minutes and then our two deacons began to share their testimonies and it was powerful and awesome.

As we concluded, I told that family, "what an amazing legacy that you have laid tonight right here in this living room, a legacy of faith."

WOW, God is great and tonight reminded me why we need to keep our eyes on JESUS and keep telling people about the change that JESUS can make.

Canada Mission Trip

This morning at 2:30 am, the boys and I took our girls to church to meet with our mission team so they could depart for the airport.  They arrived in Canada around noon today and then began to prepare for their week of VBS there at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Harrietsfield, Nova Scotia.

I am so proud of Laura and our girls for making this committment to go on mission with God.  This is Laura and Anna Brooke's second time in Nova Scotia for a mission trip.  However, this is Sarah Belle's first mission trip.  I am praying that God will do abundant and amazing things this week.

As I sit here reflecting on our services tomorrow at Southside, I am overjoyed that 14 members of our church family will be sharing in worship with the sweet people of Gospel Light Baptist Church, only one of two evangelical Southern Baptist Churches in all of Nova Scotia.

Please join me in prayer for our team as they serve our Lord this week.

Paul and The Hammock

One of Paul's favorite pleasures is swinging in the hammock.  Here is a picture of him at youth camp as he enjoys the evening wind at the beach while swinging in his pajama's.  This picture captures the true essence of our baby boy and his calm personality.

Anna Brooke and Sarah Belle Are Best Friends.

We are so blessed to have two little girls that often tell us that they are best friends.  Here is a picture of them rocking on our front porch.  They are both so adorable and we are grateful that they love each other so much.

Our Basketball Dude

Luke is practicing for his future as a DUKE basketball player.  Look at our little man.  WOW, so awesome.

My birthday Surprise

On my birthday, I had a very long day of work with several appointments and meetings.  As I made my way home that evening, I unlocked the door and walked into the foyer with the most 4 amazing kids and this awesome sign.  WOW, the little Fuller's really blessed their daddy on his birthday.  This was a priceless moment for me.

The Birthday Princess Makes A Grand Entrance To Her Birthday Party In Granny's Convertible

Sarah Belle was so excited about her fourth birthday party.  As she prepared to enter her party, she came down the long lane to the butterfly area sitting on the back of her granny's convertible.  As her grandaddy escorted her to her party, she smiled and waved in such a way that made my heart melt.  I still can not believe that my baby girl is now 4 years old. WOW.

Sarah Belle's cookie cake

Sarah Belle is about to enjoy a cookie cake on her fourth birthday.

Luke and his two buddies, Gabriel and Timmy

This morning after church, Luke and two of his friends asked us if they could spend the night together tonight after church.  Since it is summertime and their is no school on Monday, we said "YES."  So after church, we took these two amazing boys with us to Wendy's for ice cream and then to Fullertown we came.  After showers, a movie and reading time, here is a sweet picture of 3 exhausted boys in our guest room at Fullertown.

Belle Belle is posing for a picture at Nana and Papa's pool

Our little swimmer is so beautiful.

Luke and His Nana at Purdue Farm

We had just arrived from youth camp and Nana was glad to see her LUKE MAN.  Here is a picture of them at Purdue Farm for the annual cookout.  The Purdue's and Fuller's have been neighbors and have had neighboring farms for 5 generations now.  What a great picture of a special little boy who was glad to see his nana.

The Fuller Cousin's at the annual Purdue Farm July 4th Cookout

Every summer, the Purdue family invites all of the neighbors in the community over for a wonderful meal that includes BBQ chicken, boiled potatoes, cole slaw, beans, bread and cold iced tea.  This meal always takes place the day before the 4th of July.  This year, since the 4th was on Sunday, it was held on Friday night, July 2nd.  Here is a picture of all the Fuller children on Grandpa Purdue's trailer.  They are pictured in birth order.  Luke, Anna Brooke, Lilly, Sarah Belle, Jacob, and Paul.  What a blessing all six of them are to our family.  We are expecting God to use each of them in mighty ways for His kingdom in the days ahead.

Sarah Belle and her Caswell friend, Stevie

Last summer while we were at youth camp at Fort Caswell, Sarah Belle met a little girl who was staying near us for the week named, Stevie.  They became fast friends and spent the entire week together.  All year long, Sarah Belle has talked about hoping to see her again.  Well about a week before going to camp this year, we received an email from Stevie's mom asking us when we were coming to Caswell.  As it turned out, they were going to be there the same week.  So Stevie brought all types of dress clothes and toys.  Here is a picture of the two of them dressed up as if they were both a princess.  In my eyes, they both are!  Thanks to Stevie and her family for allowing our families to spend this time together.

Our 10th Anniversary at Youth Camp

Laura and I spent our 10th anniversary this summer at youth camp with our amazing youth.  We did not plan for it to work out this way, but Camp Caswell is so competitive that you have to go whenever they offer you a spot.  When we received the dates of the camp in the mail, we realized that it was on our anniversary.  We decided it was our joy to spend the week with the most amazing teeneagers ever.  So we packed up the family and off to Caswell we went.  Then on Wednesday, June 30th, we came out and our youth had decorated the upstairs of our building to celebrate our anniversary.  This is a picture of the decorations.  It just reminded me that these kids are so thoughtful and amazing to do something of this nature for their pastor and his wife. WOW we are blessed.
