Our oldest son, Luke, has a special love for the snow. He was so excited last weekend when he woke up and saw the front lawn from his bedroom window as it was covered in snow. He quickly dressed and went outside to enjoy the snow. I will never forget the words he said right after this picture was taken. He said, "Daddy, this snow reminds me that Jesus died on the cross so that we can be as white as this snow in our heart." WOW, what a special moment for me to realize that God used this winter weather to give my son a physical image of how pure, beautiful, and white our hearts can be because of what Jesus does for us through the forgiveness of our sins and the cleansing of all the dark, black, and dirty filth in our lives. Thank you Luke for reminding daddy that God uses the snow to show us His legacy of love.
