Last summer as our church sent 10 messengers to join thousands of other Southern Baptist for our annual convention in Louisville, we were given a challenge to adopt the proposal of a Great Commission Resurgence within our convention. The proposal passed with an overwhelming vote from the messengers and the task force has been working diligently ever since.
Tonight, the task force presented its recommentdations to the leaders within our convention and to the Executive Committee. I am so excited to know that one of the recommmendations that is being proposed is the increase of fund percentages to the International Mission Board so that we can take the gospel of Jesus to the farthest corners of the earth.
I am also excited to see how they are recommending that the North American Mission Board be set free from the state convention duplication process. This will really help NAMB and our state conventions, especially in the area of church planting.
Thanks you Jesus for opening doors so that we can carry your name to the world for the purpose of salvation.
