Southside Baptist Church Christmas Musical December 11, 2011

Here is a picture of our adult celebration choir as they presented their musical this morning, "Christmas Is JESUS."  I am so proud of them (all of you who are included in this picture) as they have worked so hard as they do each year to present to us the message of Jesus.

Here is Pastor Brian as he directs the choir.  He says that he keeps our Fullertown mommy front and center so that he can keep an eye on the Southside first lady.  Here she is singing with the choir during her solo.

Here is our childrens choir.  They particpated in one song of the musical.  Great job kids.  Your pastor is so proud of you.  I love you.

Here is our family after worship this morning.  We were blessed to have Granny and Granddaddy with us from Florida this weekend.

Today was an amazing day at Southside.  This morning, we had our Christmas musical.  It was such a heart inspiring time of worship. WOW - GO GOD.

Christmas 2011 at Fullertown

All of you know that our favorite time of year here at Fullertown is Christmas.  WE LOVE IT! Here are a few photo's of our family that were taken this morning before heading to church.

Here are the little Fuller's in birth order on the front steps in the foyer of Fullertown.  They are excited to be wearing the dresses and vests that there Granny in Florida made for them.  She always makes them a Christmas surprise each year.  This is it and they LOVE it.

Ushers Needed for the Baptist State Convention next week.

Next Monday evening and Tuesday all day, the Baptist State Convention of NC will host there annual meeting at Koury Convention Center right here in Greensboro.  They have asked me to serve as the usher chairman for each session.  I would love to have several men in our church come and serve together in this way.  It will be a great time of fellowship and service as we give our time to serve our Mighty Savior.

Thanks to all of you who are already serving next Monday evening as our church feeds all of the associational missionaries and directors of missions across our state. The Fellowship Team is to be commended for their hard work and dedication to do this.

As we help host our convention, we have so much to be proud of as a church. Thank you for having the heart of JESUS as we serve those who lead the way to bring JESUS to our state and to the world.

Courageous Movie Tickets

Church Family and Community Friends,


Our church is renting out the theater at Friendly Center on Sunday evening, October 2 for the Courageous movie.  The movie begins at 4:00.  Tickets will be available for purchase this Wednesday evening, Thursday evening, and all day on Sunday.  The price for each ticket is $5.75 each.  Make your checks payable to Southside and write Courageous in the memo section.  The tellers will be available to receive your check and to give you your tickets at the time of purchase.

We would like to challenge all of you to come and invite friends or family that may not be active in church or that may be struggling in marriage or in their family life.  After purchasing tickets for them and spending time with them, you can go out to dinner and share your thought and the love of Christ with them.

Please pray about who God would have you invite and lets use this opportunity to reach out and seek to grow the kingdom and our ministry here at Southside.

My Sweet Mother!

Here is a picture of me and my sweet mother.  She is one of the most amazing and strong women I have ever known.  I am so thankful for her love, faith and courage.  I am who I am because of her.  Thank you mom for being such a blessing to my life.  I love you.

September 11th @ Southside

This coming Sunday will be a mighty and great day for our church and community.  We will begin with a church wide breakfast at 8:30.  Afterwards, we will have high attendance day in Sunday school as we dedicate all of our new classes to the Lord for the coming year.  At 11:00 our celebration choir will present to us a musical about our freedom in Christ as Christians and Americans.  This will be a time for us to remember the tragic and life altering events of 9/11.  Please join us as we prepare for a day of prayer, worship and remembrance. 

Happy birthday Paul

Today is Paul's 4th birthday.  It is hard to believe that our youngest is now 4.  Paul enjoyed a great party with lots of his friends this past Saturday night at church.  Today, Laura and I were blessed to be home with him since it was Labor Day.  We enjoyed all of his favorite things and he really enjoyed eating out tonight at his favorite restaurant. As I think about Paul, the one word that describes him best is the word "compassionate."  Laura and I sense that God has a mighty plan for his life and we can not wait to see how God uses him and blesses him in the years to come.
